reshaping the food system with our 360 degree approach

We envision a just and   sustainable food system free from hunger and food waste.

360 Eats is a nonprofit based in Tampa, Florida that is reshaping the food system with an innovative "360-degree" solution. Our programs include mobile food rescue, our Sustain-A-Bowl food security food truck, and a compost initiative that works with our communities to bridge the gaps between food waste, food insecurity, and sustainability.

Our Programs

Saving Food

360 eats partners with local food establishments, such as grocery stores, wholesale distributors, restaurants, and farms to provide regular food rescue services focused on fresh, edible ingredients, non-perishable, and highly perishable items that would otherwise end up in landfills. even backyard gardeners can donate their excess produce.

Sustain-A-Bowl

Our sustain-a-bowl program partners with a network of professional chefs, volunteers, and fellow nonprofits to give surplus food new life. our 360 eats chefs create hearty, gourmet meals out of rescued ingredients that are then brought to the communities of other nonprofit organizations using our sustain-a-bowl food truck. these communities include united way suncoast, braiding with a twist, the james b. sanderlin center, and pinellas hope.
sustain-a-bowl is a non-discriminatory program that provides these free meals to all.

Sprouting Food

We exist to inspire a world of equality, sustainability, and stewardship, ultimately keeping our waste to a minimum. although we aim to maximize the amount of rescued food being used for human consumption, there remains a possibility for food scraps throughout our cooking operations. Partnerships with local community gardens and composting allow us to fulfill our goal of a zero-waste system. we offload food scraps at the mlk community garden, where they are then left to break down into nutrient-rich soil used to promote growth and sustainability within grassroots gardening practices with affected communities.
how it works

The foundation of 360 Eats provides sustainable solutions aimed at eliminating waste and promoting the continual use of resources.

By utilizing this system, the organization provides a viable '360 degree' method to tackle the growing issues of food waste and food insecurity. The model consists of collecting, cooking, feeding, composting, and planting.

Our duty is to provide one of the most important yet basic human rights to ordinary people through the provision of nutritious food within an equitable food system.

  • We believe in community-based work to build relationships and exchange knowledge.

  • We believe in a world where a person's race, gender, income, or geography does not determine their health.

  • We address the root causes of food insecurity through participation, advocacy, and research.

  • We believe that collaboration, coalition building, and peer learning are essential to driving change.

  • Through our work, we reduce unnecessary food waste and ensure that it gets used to its full potential.
